Oh boy, the 2016-2017 New York Jets are flat out a disaster. After a 1-5 start, the Jets decided to bench quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick in favor of backup Geno Smith. The decision helped lead to a win except that Smith left with an injury, which led to the return of Fitzpatrick and a surprising solid performance from him. It's like a Disney story, Fitzpatrick plays terrible so King's Bowles, Maccagnan, and Johnson decide he doesn't deserve to play anymore, and then out of nowhere Fitzpatrick makes his grand triumphant return and leads the Jets to victory. King's Bowles, Maccagnan, and Johnson, and Ryan Fitzpatrick love each other again and live happily ever after. WRONG!
Postgame Fitzpatrick decides to go on a rant on how the Jets kings were wrong for losing faith in him and how he's proving them wrong. I mean is this guy kidding me! It wasn't bad enough that he played like absolute dog crap (5 Touchdowns, 11 Interceptions) through the first six games, but now he wants to act like the kings were wrong for benching him. I applauded the kings for sitting his turnover prone ass on the bench, but now I think it needs to be taken a step further. With Geno Smith done for the season with a torn ACL, Bryce Petty will most likely take over as the new backup quarterback. What I'm asking of you my dear kings is please when the time comes give Petty his chance. Right now is not the time, he needs at least a couple weeks to get healthy and get some first team reps. Lets face the facts that whoever is at quarterback the rest of the year there's not a good chance the Jets could make the playoffs. So please give Petty a shot so we can see if he has any potential. I'd bring up Hackenberg, but he needs WAY more time to develop.
Jets Kings, please don't let Ryan Fitzpatrick fool you. Not only is he flat out a bad quarterback, but now he's a diva. There is no place on this team for a career loser that bitches and moans for facing discipline for poor performances. This guy is lucky that the Jets Kings ended up giving him his one-year contract or he'd be sitting on his couch every Sunday. There was a reason that no other team was interested in signing Ryan Fitzpatrck during free agency. This same reason is why Fitzpatrick doesn't deserve to start the rest of this season. He fooled you once, now he's trying to fool you again. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on ME.
Don't be fooled kings; Fitzpatrick isn't the right guy to be the leader of your team.
