One of my favorite players of all time just got traded today. Jarome Iginla looking for that elusive Stanley Cup was traded to the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for a conditional 4th round pick in the 2018 draft.
King Dean Lombardi is trying to find a solution for Anze Kopitar’s line as they have been having a hard time finding someone that will ignite Kopy. Maybe Iginla is the man. But at age 39 who knows if he will ever get the chance to play with Kopy. Iginla is on the last year of a 3 year $16 million dollar deal.
It’s obvious King Lombardi is trying to give King Darryl Sutter the best team possible to make another run at the cup. I mean hey, the last two times King Lombardi made a trade for a struggling player. They won the cup and that struggling player was reenergized and showed what they have been in the past. (i.e Jeff Carter and Marian Gaborik)
