The World Series is now tied 1-1 heading to Chicago this weekend. This news has many excited and Wrigleyville is going to be a zoo this weekend. Many people have called off work on Friday and will be down at all the establishments on Clark from noon to the end of the game. With a city of over 2 million people and the metropolitan area greater than 10 million people. It’s safe to say that area of Chicago will be rocking.
But, with tens of thousands of people who will be in the Wrigleyville area over the weekend. There will be a time where they will be able to enjoy themselves even more once the 1060 Project is finished.
The reason why I say this is because in the next few years the area around Wrigley Field will be a lot different than what it used to be. Many people who are frequent patrons of Wrigleyville have seen many construction projects around the ballpark and the famous McDonalds across the street from the park has been torn down and is no longer there.
Reason being is because the Cubs are starting their project of making Wrigley Field a year round attraction. Creating more revenue, creating more jobs and just being more relevant year round. There is suppose to be a hotel, plaza and other attractions around the ballpark. Here is a preview of what you can expect from the new Wrigley Field Plaza. The Cubs are calling it the 1060 Project.
Take a look at that preview and tell me that King Tom isn’t wishing this project was completed for the mayhem that will ensue this weekend.
