The Bruins were beaten by the Ottawa Senators in six games in this years Stanley Cup Playoffs after a whirlwind of a season for the team.
The team was mostly inconsistent up until around the all star break. Then King Don Sweeney relieved Claude Julien of his duties as Bruins Head coach and promoted Bruce Cassidy where he instilled more of an offensive mindset in the team and the team started to play really well to end the season.
Brad Marchand challenged for the scoring race and Rocket Richard and the young blue line got a year older.
Things are looking good for the Bruins and I never thought they would have if you take a look at my earlier post.
The biggest question for the Bruins going into the offseason is signing David Pastrnak which I have been hinting at throughout the whole season. Let’s see what Don Sweeney does moving forward but the Bruins aren’t that far away from being a Stanley Cup contender again with this group of players.
