The Clock Struck Midnight for Claude Julien

Claude Julien has been fired as head coach of the Boston Bruins. Everyone saw this coming with all rumors last year and the inconsistent play of the Bruins all season.

Julien was the longest tenured coach in the NHL, where he started with the Bruins on June 21, 2007. Julien took the Bruins to two Stanley Cup Finals and won one of them. He went 419-246-94 which makes him the winningest coach in Bruins history.

His assistant Bruce Cassidy will take over as coach (King). King Cassidy coached the Capitals from 2002-2004 and was an assistant with the Hawks from 2005-2006.

King Cassidy will have his hands full and it will be interesting to see what changes he makes, if any and how that will affect the Bruins going forward.
